To my dear blog (Wander Dust,is that your name?I'm really not sure),

It's 3:30 am and as usual, I can't really sleep.So I decided to check you out.I also thought I'd look at my blogger profile which says that you've been active since August 2006.Wow.

I don't know why I started you.But it happened anyways.I was a 16 year old kid messing around with photoshop and I really liked what I was coming up with.At the time.I don't really approve of my work then now but that isn't really suprising now is it?

When people ask me why I started a blog I'd like to tell them it's because I really want to know what people think of my work.But the truth is, I'm still and will probably always be very shy when it comes to putting my work out there.The reason I started this blog was to record my work and in the process unknowingly, record my life.

When I go back 6 pages or 2 years on this blog and I look at my work I can come up with a whole story about what urged me to think up what I did then.And I guess thats the beauty of it.

Steve Jobs died yesterday.And I came across a quote of his about loving what you do.It was about how you should believe that the work you're doing at the present moment is truly great work.How this belief will only get better as life goes on.It meant alot to me,because I love what I do.

But let's face it.I go through so many phases.I don't know where I'll be next year, and if I do end up studying curation and art history I only hope I have the courage to pull through.And that courage has certainly come from this blog.Alot of the good things that have happened in my professional life have happened because of this blog.The lovely comments.The lovely people leaving those comments.It's all good.

So if I do choose Tumblr or Wordpress to start my writing blog don't be mad.Just be glad I finally got the courage to write!

So much is changing.Everyone's taking a step forward one way or another.

And as my college life is coming to an end I've realized the importance of taking more pictures.

Pardon the numerous effects on the picture above, but it reminds me of sunshine and being far far away.

Our recent trip to Goa was a mix of so many things..But it also made me want to travel so so much more.

I'll never forget looking out the train door on my way back to Pune.

It's one of those rare moments you realize things are beautiful.

And it's upto us to keep it that way everyday.

As my year got a bit busy in February and I hate forgetting things I decided to buy myself a planner.

This has increased my interest in planners in general.

They can so much more interactive and fun.This can make planning one's year as much fun.

So I visited Good Earth in Mumbai in January and fell for their planner "India Circus."

It's perfect for someone who loves bollywood,colour and illustration.

It's main theme is the everyday experiences of comtemporary India or the "Indian Tamasha."

And the illustrations based on the exact same idea.

It emphasizes on what we take for granted in our country and how all this chaos is really beautiful.It's perfect creative inspiration for any designer.I paid Rs.350 for the planner so it's worth it too!

I've realised I STILL think too much and never say enough.And I have alot to babble about.Trust me.

I'm not sure it really matters.I'm not sure how many people still actually follow this blog,with my blocking comments and having nothing to put up every now and then.But that's okay,I've been told my blog is still looked at,blame the lack of comments on me and my comment blocking actions.

I've been asked whether I work for my blog or work for me.It's really a little bit of both.I love what I do.And hope to love what I do everyday of my life.I also like looking at my work on a bright screen that does different things,it makes me happier.I can share what I have with alot of people.That's exciting.

I recently put up some photographs for this contest(www.flopmagazine.com..vote for me if you like) and I got some nice responses.I never look at myself as a photographer.But I like getting into different things,its pretty exhilarating.I work towards what I enjoy doing and let go of what I can't possibly move through.

I am very insecure and lack confidence when it comes to my life with design.I think I worry about whether I'm doing the right thing atleast once a week.But it's times like these I realise that everyone has so much to give.And take.And design is my way if giving,be it holistic,social or lucrative.

I want to illustrate books,artfully direct magazines,advertise,design home products,postcards...even teach someday.I have alot I'd like to do.And I always say that dreams exist to lose themselves.But I also believe that you can always have what you want if you work hard.And I love to work.So what's stopping me?

I don't know.

I'm impatient.I recently submitted some illustration work to another competion.And I'm not going to do well at all because I worked in an absolute hurry.I didn't work for me,I worked inorder to finish my work on time.

I guess that's really the problem.That and insecurity.I want to get over it.I will.I refuse to be someone I'm not.If I'm down enough to be another person I better do it well,otherwise there's no point.And I'm not going to be someone else.

It's a long journey,this one.
